Who provides Strike
Strike is provided by Aiden Forrest / forresTech. For users in the UK and EEA, Aiden Forrest / forresTech is the data controller for the app data described in this policy.
Privacy contact: aiden@forres.tech
This policy covers the Strike iOS and Android app and the online services used by the app.
Data Strike collects
Strike collects only what is needed to run the app, provide optional online features, process purchases, improve reliability, and respond to support requests:
- Training and settings data: your display name, app settings, techniques, workout history, session results, and saved analysis. This is mainly stored on your device.
- Usage and diagnostics: basic app events, session summaries, app version, platform, crash reports, and error logs linked to a random app identifier.
- Purchases: subscription and entitlement status for Strike Pro and Strike Gym. Payment card details are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play and are not sent to us.
- Gym location: if you use Strike Gym, foreground location may be used to set a gym location or verify that a member is near that gym when redeeming a QR code or link.
- Online features: shared session links, linked sessions, and AI coaching send the session data needed to make those features work.
- Support messages: if you contact us in the app, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide.
Data we do not collect
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.
- We do not collect contacts, SMS, call logs, health records, government ID numbers, or payment card details.
- We do not collect background location.
- We do not record or store audio, photos, or videos.
Data retention and deletion
We keep data only for as long as needed to provide Strike, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and keep business records.
- Local device data: kept on your device until you delete individual records in the app, clear app data, or uninstall Strike.
- App analytics and diagnostics: detailed event data is normally deleted after 90 days. Aggregated records may be kept for up to 6 years.
- Shared session links: expire after 30 days.
- Linked sessions: temporary session state is normally kept for up to 24 hours, or deleted earlier when the session ends.
- AI coaching requests: temporary processing results normally expire after 1 hour. Analysis saved in the app remains on your device until you delete it.
- Purchases, entitlements, gym redemptions, and support requests: normally kept for up to 6 years where needed for access, support, accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute handling.
- Security logs: kept only as long as needed for security, debugging, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
If we no longer need data, we delete it or anonymise it.
Deletion requests
Strike does not create a traditional user account. You can still request deletion of data linked to you by emailing aiden@forres.tech with the subject "Strike data deletion request". Include details that help us find your records, such as your support email address, shared session link, purchase identifier if available, or approximate dates.
When we receive a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymise data we can reasonably link to you, unless we need to keep limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or dispute reasons.
Deleting Strike data does not cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple or Google account settings.
Rights, children, and changes
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. Contact aiden@forres.tech to make a request.
Strike is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. We may update this policy as Strike changes, and the updated version will be posted on this page.
